Meet Julia

Julia opened her own private clinic in Karen, after moving back to Kenya with her family in 2010. She is a clinical Physiotherapist with 18 years experience. Her post-grad training has included many specialised techniques such as K-Active taping (in which she is a certified international instructor), Clinical Pilates by the DMA Group (Australia), Anatomy Trains by James Earls (UK) and Medical Flossing (Germany).

Her work experience includes many years of clinical experience, working as a physiotherapist for the European & Asian Golf Tours and Women’s and Men’s Tennis (WTA & ATP including players such as Maria Sharapova and Rafael Nadal to name a few).

Julia’s emphasis is on a thorough assessment, especially regarding bio-mechanics and the functionality of the body, so as to determine the most effective treatment required. Julia uses a lot of manual techniques as well as specialised exercises. Her goal is to get you as independent from treatment as quick as possible, showing you what you can do to speed up your body’s recovery, tailored to your life’s demands and situation.

Julia is an exceptional physiotherapist. She is extremely knowledgeable, quickly detects where the problem lies and has many ways, skills and tools at her fingertips to help and heal. She always encourages self healing and shares her knowledge, exercises and ideas freely. I can highly recommend her.
— CHRISTEL FLOWERS, YOGA TEACHER
Julia thanks for the great rehab you have done with my knees. The exercises are great and now I know I have some muscles I didn’t realise existed. I would recommend you to anyone with sports injuries, thanks again.
— STU HERD, TALISMAN. DOJO WELLNESS CLUB
I suffered from SPD during my first pregnancy at about 36 weeks and during my second pregnancy it’s come as early as 18 weeks. As I walked into Julia’s practice, I was in extreme pain but I got amazing treatment. Julia was knowledgeable, professional, informative, kind and encouraging. She helped me mentally and physically through the treatment and made me feel empowered to work with her on my recovery. l am so happy to know that l can walk with her during this pregnancy and postpartum. I can’t recommend her, or indeed thank her enough for the help she gave me and continues to give me.
— SHIKO MUEKE - SECOND TIME MUM
When I first showed up at Julia’s clinic, I was in extreme pain and could barely walk, having had lower back problems for six years prior. Within five minutes, Julia found an accute weakness in my left hip flexor that no other physio or doctor prior had even thought to look for. For the three months that followed, Julia had me focus on rebuilding the left side of my body and correcting my walk and posture, and she was friendly, encouraging and supportive throughout. Because of Julia, I am walking again and have now been pain-free for over a year. I can never thank her enough.
